Fear Free & Pet First Aid Certified Care
Fear Free training focuses on reducing stress in animals by understanding their body language and emotional responses.
We notice nervousness, hesitation at the leash, or a sudden philosophical refusal to eat breakfast, and adjust accordingly.
Our goal is happy, relaxed pets who feel safe being cared for by us.

Some dogs want long, unhurried walks with full sensory investigation of the neighborhood. Some want to surveil squirrels from indoors.
Some cats want to be involved in everything, and some just want company while they nap in a sunbeam.
Whatever your pet needs, they’ll get (within reason, physics, and local wildlife law).
We keep your pet comfortable, your home consistent, and your absence uneventful in the most professional sense of the word.

Clementine
​Clementine has a background in Psychology and more than ten years of experience managing the general complexity of daily life as a nanny & house manager.
She respects all established routines, including the ones pets insist are legally binding.

Max
Max grew up in a dog sport household and spent years working on organic farms in Japan, the U.S., and Australia, where he learned to care for animals that range from “remarkably passionate” to “deeply determined.”

Max is experienced with high-energy dogs, working breeds, and small animals with big operational opinions.
Haley
Haley has spend the last several years working with pets who all believe (correctly, of course) they are the main character of the household.​

She’s gentle, attentive, and very good at becoming a familiar part of a pet’s routine without disrupting their internal narrative.

My experience with Snout & About was entirely positive from start to finish. Communication was excellent — clear, friendly, and very quick.
They sent me daily photos of my cats, which really put my mind at ease while I was away. When I returned home, the house was exactly as I left it.

Highly recommend Clementine and Maximilian. From the very beginning of the application process, they were easy to communicate with and reliable. They are extremely organized and proactive with dog care; using a clear form for sharing information before the stay to asking about my preferences for communication and pictures during the stay (which they followed through with).
When my dog was bitten by another dog during the sit, they communicated instantly, clearly, and were trustworthy. They took incredible care of my dog from taking care of the wound to tracking behavior and coordinated with a friend of mine for emotional support for my pup.

I couldn’t have asked for better sitters! Clementine and Max were extremely communicative and helped out huge during an unexpected freeze while I was gone. I got lots of pictures of Hattie, and they even got her some special treats while she seemed to be having stomach issues. Hattie can’t wait to spend time with them again!
